Some information on CAM’s website is only accessible by CAM members. The members-only resources include:

• information on accessing CAM logos
• generic operational forms
• frequently asked questions
• CAM’s training videos (the Helper Training module and the Packing & Unpacking Training Modules)
• an overseas training manual for administrative staff
• business development articles that cover a range of topics, such as operational info, ELDs, HR topics, worklife, health & wellness, customer service advice, sales tips, marketing & promotion and online security, and
• a new Independent Movers’ Resources section.

To access this members-only information, you will need an active user name and password. Only members that continue to meet CAM’s requirements and that have paid their membership fees will have active passcodes and are authorized to access this area and use CAM’s logos.

CAM Canadian Professional Mover Course (registered students only)

CAM’s Canadian Professional Mover Course is based on the very successful Moving Consultant Orientation Course that was the standard for Canadian movers in the early 1990s. It has been updated several times over the years to be current with changes in the industry. Moving professionals who complete the CPM Course will have an understanding of the moving consultant’s role and of the services provided by movers in Canada.

The course consists of nine lessons:

• Estimating Procedures
• Long Distance Moving – Canada (2 lessons)
• Long Distance Moving – Canada/USA/Mexico
• Local Moving; Permanent Storage (3 lessons) and
• Office Moving

Each lesson contains the reading material required for the area of study, as well as the assignments that ensure that the material has been learned. Students typically take about two months to complete the course although it can be completed in a weekend.

Graduates receive a certificate by email (no charge) and may request a framed certificate to indicate his or her successful completion of the course ($45 charge for the quality, framed certificate, tax and shipping). Graduates of the course may use CAM’s Canadian Professional Mover designation “CPM” and/or the CPM logo on their business cards.
